OnePlus 8 Pro’s new version speculated to launch with a hole-punch display. The latest leak from 91Mobiles and OnLeaks about OnePlus 8 Pro after a few weeks of the release of OnePlus 7T Pro is said to have a hole-punch display instead of a pop-up camera.
On taking a closer look, the renders of OnePlus 8 Pro’s leaked design looks much similar to OnePlus 8, which was leaked earlier. Unlike Oneplus 8, the leak of Oneplus 8 Pro has a big, bezel-free curved display, and at the top, there is no notch. In the top left corner of the screen, it is going to come with the hole-punch style front-facing camera.
The new hole-punch front camera design could be a replacement for the pop-up selfie camera used in the OnePlus 7 Pro and 7T Pro. This new feature will help the screen edges remain untouched by a notch, thus giving an elegant look with more screen space.
At the backside of the phone, a quad-camera system is seen, which seems to be a similar triple camera mode as the current 7T Pro. But, it comes with an extra, smaller camera, located outside the projection. Updates are that this will probably be a ToF 3D camera. The leaked images also expose a fourth sensor. This one is situated on the rear of the next OnePlus flagship, which is a 3D ‘time-of-flight’ sensor that serves the purpose of depth-sensing.
The power & volume key arrangements and other ports are virtually the same as they are in latest phone models. The device still has the alert slider and power button on the right side, like the previous versions. The whole-new Oneplus 8 Pro will have a 6.65-inch curved 90Hz display. However, these display dimensions are slightly smaller than the 6.67-inch display, which was on the OnePlus 7T Pro. Aside from the loss of the pop-up selfie camera, the information suggests we won’t observe many big changes in the next OnePlus device.
The main feature in the new OnePlus 8 series is the replacement of a pop-up selfie camera, which indeed was the latest design addition in the smartphone world.
But, it seems OnePlus is keeping itself updated. In 2019 it has already launched models replacing its previous ones that were launched recently. OnePlus has moved far ahead with their new smartphone range this year, and it seems too swift-to-be-true.
Nothing is surprising about the leak of more new models from OnePlus, as the smartphone market is being frequently updated with out-of-the-box innovations and designs. Earlier in December last year, we had first got a display of the OnePlus 7T’s design, which was later launched very recently.
The releasing date for the new OnePlus 8 Pro has not been announced yet, and there have been no predictions of launching date so far. Hopes are that it will be launched in the year 2020, as the previous models were launched recently after the leaks came out. It looks like OnePlus is keeping itself innovative with each new series.
